The beauty of the large trees in Inyati Sands is undeniable, however if not maintained through the years they can cause a huge amount of damage and nuisance. In particular there are a large amount of Eugenia, Brush Cherry (Eugenia myrtifolia) which have grown to very large sizes, in the estate they have often been planted next to walls and in small flower beds, this is causing damage to walls and lifting paving. Not only do these trees cause physical damage to structures, but as they are not an indigenous species they use a lot of extra nutrients from the soil, causing grass and other smaller plants to die off. Due to these reasons, as well as the mess their red berries can cause, we are taking on a project to remove a large amount of the Eugenias in the complex.
If you have any trees in your garden which you would like us to have a look at trimming or removing please contact the estate manager.
Every effort will be made to notify residents before removing trees in the gardens or near by.
